Your Station, Now Live on Kick

We build SavePoint Station Manager, a broadcast station manager that runs a 24/7 radio or video station from hardware you own and streams it to every platform your audience lives on, all from a single broadcast.

We are proud to introduce support for the Kick Platform in SavePoint Station Manager. Connect your Kick account with OAuth, and your station goes live on Kick alongside every other platform you are already broadcasting to. SavePoint handles the authentication, pulls in your stream key, syncs your stream metadata, and posts to your Kick chat when tracks and segments change.

How It Works

Kick is a new channel type in SavePoint's multi-channel broadcasting system. It sits alongside Discord, YouTube, Twitch, Mixcloud, Restream, and Custom channels in the Channels panel, following the same toggle-to-enable pattern you are already familiar with.

The Kick channel uses encrypted delivery by default, and its OAuth flow does not require a partner or creator-network status. An independent station can use the full chat and metadata feature set from day one.

Connect Your Kick Account

Kick joins the Channels panel alongside your other streaming targets. Click the Kick card to open its settings.

Setting up Kick is a two-part process: register a Kick developer app, then connect your Kick account. SavePoint walks you through the full sequence inside the Connection tab.

2. 02.Name your app, paste the Redirect URI that SavePoint displays, and select the scopes (user:read, channel:read, channel:write, chat:write)
3. 03.Copy your Client ID and Client Secret into SavePoint
4. 04.Click Connect Kick Account to authorize SavePoint

Once connected, your Kick channel slug and avatar appear right inside the card. Your stream key is fetched automatically and stored securely. If Kick resets or rotates the key, click Refresh from Kick and SavePoint pulls the latest one without leaving the page.

Go Live

When you start a broadcast, SavePoint connects to every enabled channel simultaneously. Your station goes live everywhere at once.

The Kick card shows real-time connection status, cycling through connecting, connected, and streaming, the same way your other channels do.

Stream Metadata Sync

With an OAuth connection in place, SavePoint can push metadata to your Kick channel before a broadcast starts. The Metadata tab in the Kick card exposes three fields:

• Stream title that appears at the top of your Kick channel page
• Category selected from a searchable dropdown of Kick's full category database
• Custom tags, up to 10 per stream, to improve tag-based discovery

Changes are pushed to Kick when you click Save Settings. Your Kick channel page shows relevant information to viewers browsing the directory, without you needing to open the Creator Dashboard separately.

Chat Announcements

SavePoint posts to your Kick chat automatically when your station transitions between tracks or segments. Both announcement types are independently toggleable and use customizable templates.

Track Change Announcements

Every time a new track starts playing, SavePoint can post a message to your Kick chat. The default template is:

You can customize the template with these variables: {title}, {artist}, {album}, {segmentName}, and {playlistName}. Build announcements that match your station's voice.

Segment Change Announcements

When your station transitions to a new segment (a schedule change, a different DJ's block, or a themed programming switch), SavePoint posts a separate notification:

Chat announcements require the OAuth connection. If you are using the manual stream-key path only, the stream itself works fine, but chat features stay disabled.

Encoding

Kick encoding is configurable from the Broadcast tab inside the Kick channel card. You can adjust bitrate, encoder preset, and hardware encoder settings to match your system's capabilities and your target stream quality. SavePoint uses the same encoding configuration interface as your other channels, so if you have already tuned your Twitch or YouTube encoding, you will feel right at home.

SavePoint also offers two delivery modes for Kick: direct pass-through (lower CPU, uses your station's native encode) and re-encoded output (adapts to Kick's preferred bitrate ranges). The setting lives in the Broadcast tab with a single toggle.

Built-In Reliability

Kick streams to a live platform with real viewers, so SavePoint gives it the same stability rails as your other channels:

• Stream health recovery watches for a stalled stream and restarts the connection automatically if data stops flowing
• Scheduled restart runs a clean reconnect on an interval or at a daily time of your choosing, so long-running broadcasts stay fresh
• Proactive token refresh keeps your OAuth token alive so chat and metadata keep working across multi-day broadcasts
• Invalid-token detection surfaces a clear error in the channel card if your authorization is revoked, so you know to re-authorize instead of retrying in the dark

The real power is what happens when Kick joins your existing channels.

All six channels run from the same broadcast, driven by the same playlist, the same schedule, and the same visual overlay. Each channel connects and disconnects independently, so you can toggle Kick on mid-broadcast without affecting your Twitch or Mixcloud streams.

• A Kick account with a registered developer app at dev.kick.com (SavePoint walks you through the steps)
• Your station set to Pre-Render Mode (Kick streaming is not available in Realtime mode)
• A Broadcast License for SavePoint
